Even after being there and witnessing a sea of people (stretched out over miles) singing and lifting up the name of Jesus, I can tell you that it is still very hard to comprehend all that took place while we were in Nigeria.

We were so graciously taken care of by Pastor Adoboye and his team. It was fantastic to be with our friends from India — Bishop Ernest Paul Komanapalli and his assistant. Up close and personal, we were given a glimpse of the goodness of our God and His desire to see mankind follow and worship Him. It was amazing for me to see firsthand what God can do with a life (Pastor Adoboye) that is completely surrendered and sold-out to Him. Just to see 2.5 million chairs set up under a roof stretching for miles was breathtaking. But, to witness it filled with people hungry for God’s touch is indescribable.

Thank you to all who kept us in your thoughts and prayers. I was able to catch a glimpse of the stars Abraham must have seen, and I humbly received the revelation of what God is about to pour out over the earth! This trip will shape the future of our work together for many years to come!

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).

Bless you!

Dr. Pete

Sent from Dr. Pete's iphone in Nigeria (unedited)

We have arrived in Lagos, Nigeria! After a minor two hour delay and 19 hours of travel later – we are here.

This trip is a little different than most as it is just Tom Bennett and myself with Bishop Ernest and one of his associate pastors. As we drove into the compound, we could instantly feel the tangible presence of God! 1.5 million chairs have been assembled and span across nearly 2 miles. We are here as guests of Pastor Adoboye. Only through my relationship with Bishop Ernest do I find myself here. I am here simply and humbly to glean and receive from these two powerful men of God.

It never ceases to amaze me at how selfless and what servant hearts christians seem to have around the world. It is always very humbling to be treated with such respect and honor.

I pray this week leaves me with a similar impartation to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus with compassion and a heart like His!

SUNDAY

This morning we had the privilege of joining one of the local congregations for their Sunday service. To experience the presence of God all over the world in the small huts to big stadiums is always fascinating to me – to know that God truly NEVER leaves us nor forsakes us!!

The pastor shared out of Isaiah 43:18-19

"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a NEW THING. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

He shared about how God can and will change in a moment the direction of your life. Take that very thing you've been praying and believing for years for and grant it in a moment. He prophesied that in 2012 – God is doing a NEW THING and because of His love for us (not because of what we've done or how much we've fasted and prayed), simply because of His unconditional love for us!

This is exactly what God has been speaking in my spirit. Quit striving and trying to fulfill the call of God on your life, simply BE STILL and know that I AM GOD! I am doing a NEW THING and you can be still and rest in Me!

Tomorrow evening is the first night of the meetings. May God impart not only to me, but to all of us a knowing in our spirit that He is doing a NEW THING & releasing SWEET BLESSINGS into our lives!

Bless you!

Dr. Pete

Pastor’s Conference, Children’s Home visit, Leper Colony, 5 day crusade.

Details:

The trip to Amalapuram in Feb. 2007 was one that was marked with incredible moves of God in many ways. Before the festival started, God moved in a mighty way and gave us favor with the local government to have an injuction lifted allowing for an outdoor evangelistic festival.

Once there, we found out not only that Dr. Pete could preach as scheduled, but that he was given a 5th night to preach!

The crowds at the festival grew gradually to over 75,000 people per night.

During the day, Dr. Tony Slay, Dave Sulack, and Jeff Sorvick held a two-day pastor’s conference with over 1,000 pastors in attendance. The ministry team got to chance to visit the children’s homes and play with the kids, as well as visit a leper colony and pray over each person there with leprosy. The team also visited a hospital that specialized in cataract surgery. When asked how they have seen the hand of God on their hospital, the doctor said in 15 years, they have never had one single case of infection!

The team also visited the Bay of Bengal and stood on the shoreline where the Indian Tsunami of 2004 hit and could still see the impact of the destruction over two years later.

Attendees:

Details:

Kadapa was a trip of new experiences, even for team members that have been to India several times. We took our first train ride through the night to get from Hyderabad to Kadapa. To make things even more interesting, we nearly missed the train, causing the team of 19 people to sprint through the station to catch the train minutes before it was scheduled to leave. There’s never a dull moment in India! Before traveling to Kadapa, the team visited the children’s home in Kismapur. This campus houses nearly 350 children of all ages, with schools ranging from K-12, and trade schools and bible college. The team got the chance to hand out goodie bags of treats and toys to all the kids and spend some time with them in their classrooms. We also got to bring over 20 sewing machines to the widows and teach them basic sewing to empower them to be able to earn an income.

The grounds were flooded with torrential rains in the two weeks leading up to the festival, but God heard the prayers of many. The rain stopped, the sun came out, and a crew of laborers worked tirelessly to spread a mix of sand and gravel to soak up the water and mud all over the grounds. When we showed up for the first night of the festival, all the water had been drained out and soaked up. Once again, God was performing miracles before His name was ever preached! The crowds grew gradually over the four nights, culminating in a final night crowd of over 75,000 people.
