Getting Personal

If there’s one prerequisite to hearing and fellowshipping with God’s voice, it’s having a personal relationship with Him. It’s the only way you’ll be able to hear His voice, to listen, to obey, and to see God work in our life.

When Jesus was telling the parable of the sower scattering his seed, He said something very profound:

” . . . Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”

-Mark 4:11-12

It was only later while He was fellowshipping with His disciples that Jesus shared the meaning of the parable. But what does this show us? It shows us that Jesus is more interested in building relationships than drawing a crowd. He wants people to draw near to hear His voice.

Do you want to hear His voice and fellowship with Him? Draw near to God in prayer, in worship, in fellowship – in relationship.

It’s time to get personal.
